Fees and charges

First Meta does not charge users any fees or commissions for using the FMX.

However, certain transactions that involve third-party providers such as payment gateways and even some worlds themselves, may have fees imposed by these providers. Any fees that are collected from these transactions are used entirely to pay the third-party provider for its service.

But you can rest assured that because the FMX is designed to be as financially efficient as possible (by a team with much experience in this area no less), you will almost always get the best price here, even including any fees!

How do we make money then?

It’s simple. For every order we fulfill, there is always a bid and an ask price, (or to put it simply, the buy and sell price) with a very small difference between these prices. We make this difference, or what is called, the spread.

Example:
User A wishes to sell gold at a rate of 100 gold/USD. User B wishes to buy at the rate of 98 gold/USD. First Meta makes the spread of 2 gold/USD.

Our goal is more worlds, more users, so we keep our spread really small and really competitive. So again, even with the spread, you’re most likely to get the best price here than anywhere else.
